March 19, 2008 – SMARTMD acquires Firstaid Software Corporation.

SMARTMD Corporation, a premier national, has acquired Firstaid Software Corporation, an industry thought leader in practice automation software. SMARTMD will distribute Firstaid’s practice management software (PMS) InsightMDTM to its customer base of 6,000+ physicians nationwide. “Our customers have been asking us to provide PMS and EMR software to streamline office functions. What we saw in Firstaid was solid technology and an experienced development staff that could augment our own team. We believe this acquisition positions us to better serve our customer’s needs.”, said Yosef Habte, president of SMARTMD.
